Stuart Sierra could never decide whether to be a performer or a programmer. After earning a degree in theatre from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, he spent approximately five minutes as a professional actor before fleeing to a graduate degree in computer science. While working as a developer and consultant, he found his way back to the stage as a conference speaker. He has given talks and workshops all over the world about Clojure and functional programming. He recently fulfilled his childhood dreams of public radio by starting a podcast called "No Manifestos."
